Consider Going Pro

Skip the hassle of needing to accurately measure your patio door and frame.

You don’t have to worry about accidentally voiding your warranty.

A pro will clean up the mess and dispose of your old patio door.

If you go DIY, here’s how to measure your patio door.

Width

Measure distance between the side door jambs at three points: the top, middle and bottom of the patio door opening.

Height

Next, measure the distance between the top of the head jamb to the top of the bottom sill at three points: far left, center, and far right.

Depth

Measure the width of the jamb, from edge to edge, across the existing door frame. Ignore any door trim.

When you’re thinking about your patio door type, consider the amount of sunlight and open space you have now versus the amount you’d like to have.
